Even despite their reputation as the NFL’s stingiest defense in terms of points per game allowed, all would’ve been understood if the road-challenged Chargers required a moment or two to discover their postseason footing. Having different plans entirely, Alohi Gilman merely required the opening play to leave a statement, turning Houston’s seemingly-productive pass play into a nightmare with a forced fumble, positioning Los Angeles' offense for a lead-extending score just plays later.
