Perfect — or perhaps “purrfect” — once again in Week 11’s battle between two teams with cat-like names, Jared Goff clawed his way into another tier of the NFL’s history books on Nov. 17, 2024. Keeping his signature blue-and-white cleats mashing the gas pedal, even with Detroit ahead by 36, the three-time Pro Bowler turned to a trusted play-action before zipping a perfectly-placed dime to his star wideout towards the right sidelines. For Goff, such a performance allowed for both the Lions’ best start (9-1) since 1934, and his individual status as the league’s only quarterback to produce a 158.3 passer rating and 400+ yards in multiple games. The end result was a 52-6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Goff turning in 412 yards and four touchdowns on 24-of-29 passing, complemented by four carries for 21 yards.
