Ahead on the scoreboards for all but five minutes in Week 11, the Denver Broncos can attribute much of its 38-6 victory, fittingly, to the player it frequently ran behind. Like a boulder rolling downhill, right guard Quinn Meinerz steps into action on a well-designed screen pass, leading the cavalry towards the field’s second level through a ferocious pancake block that springs his running back free for a 15-yard reception. Strenuously guiding Denver’s pile-pushing touchdown just plays later, Meinerz secured his status as a hero during a runaway second quarter against a division-leading Atlanta Falcons group on Nov. 17, 2024. By evening’s end, Meinerz played in all 60 of Denver’s offensive snaps, allowing zero QB hits or pressures, and a 5.5 yards per carry average as the lead blocker (on 11 attempts).
