Making his first career NFL start, Vikings quarterback Rich Gannon put together a solid performance that foreshadowed the long, successful career that was to follow. Throwing the first two touchdowns of his NFL career, Gannon threw for 253 yards in the game, and also added another 65 on the ground, leading Minnesota to overtime against the Buccaneers, where they ultimately fell, 23-20, on Sept. 30, 1990.
