In the first quarter of Super Bowl XV, with his team already leading by a score, Raiders quarterback Jim Plunkett skillfully evaded the pass rush on this third down play, scooting out of the pocket to the right before firing an off-balance pass down the sideline towards his receiver. The ball was perfectly placed, allowing the receiver to haul it in while twisting away from the defender, and began sprinting down the sideline. He went untouched the rest of the way for an 80-yard score. Plunkett finished this one with 261 passing yards and three touchdown passes, as the Raiders beat the Eagles, 27-10, to win the championship on Jan. 25, 1981.
