After nearly 27 minutes of game time had elapsed without any scoring in Super Bowl XXXVIII, Patriots receiver Deion Branch got open off this play-action fake and hauled in the pass for the five-yard score. The touchdown put the Patriots up and kicked off a flurry of scoring to end the first half. Branch would ultimately finish this one with 143 yards and one touchdown on 10 catches, helping lead the Patriots to their second title in three years, as they beat the Panthers, 32-29, on Feb. 1, 2004.
