In a critical early-season division matchup between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, Jets receiver Laveranues Coles made his presence felt, particularly towards the later stages of the game. With both teams battling in what was a low-scoring affair towards the end of the third quarter, Coles got open deep down the left side, hauled in the pass, and sprinted to the end zone for a 58-yard score. Then, just a few minutes later in the early fourth quarter, he scored again, this time from 22 yards out as he made a great leaping grab over a defender. All told, Coles finished with five catches for 106 yards and two scores, as the Jets pulled out the win over Miami, 20-17, on Oct. 15, 2006.
